When will the GMC open?

The first elements of the operational framework — the GMC Authority, the charter, the legal framework, and the Bhutan-Singapore Double Tax Avoidance Agreement (signed May 2026) — are in place. Substantive build-out will extend through the 2030s and 2040s. By the historical pattern documented in Chapter Ten, the 2023 announcement is on track for 10–20-year operational delivery.
