What is the BCSE?

The Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BCSE) is the annual entry examination administered by the Royal Civil Service Commission for entry into the Bhutanese civil service. Roughly 10,000–12,000 graduates sit it each year against 2,000–2,500 entry positions — about 80% do not clear the cut-off. Many sit the exam two or three times before exiting the queue.
