BBS
Bhutan Broadcasting Service
The Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS) is the country’s public broadcaster, established in 1973. It operates BBS TV and BBS Radio. Alongside the print outlets (Kuensel, The Bhutanese, Bhutan Times), BBS forms the spine of the country’s media infrastructure — though, as Paradox #53 documents, total journalist headcount remains small (roughly one journalist per 5,200 citizens).
