Sherubtse College
Sherubtse College is Bhutan’s oldest tertiary institution. Founded in 1968 in Kanglung, Trashigang dzongkhag, it has been the principal undergraduate institution producing Bhutanese economists, social scientists, and arts graduates for over five decades. It is a constituent college of the Royal University of Bhutan.
Sherubtse graduates are heavily represented in the BCSE-aspiring cohort that Chapter One documents. Dechen — the composite character at the chapter’s centre — is a Sherubtse graduate.
