MoFAET is Bhutan’s ministry for foreign affairs, external trade, and the diplomatic mission network. Its mission reporting is one of the primary sources for the diaspora-size estimates used throughout the book and the paradox catalogue — particularly the Australian diaspora figure (40,000–43,000 in 2026).
