NSB
National Statistics Bureau
The National Statistics Bureau (NSB) is Bhutan’s official statistics agency. It conducts the Population and Housing Census (most recently 2017, with PHC 2027 announced in the 2024 Royal address), the Labour Force Survey, the National Statistical Yearbook, and a range of thematic studies.
The 2025 NSB study Determinants of Youth Unemployment in Bhutan produced the headline 21× civil-service-aspiration unemployment multiplier and the 3.85× bachelor’s-degree unemployment multiplier that anchor Chapter One.
